Four fire crews tackled a blaze at a property in Burnham-On-Sea last night (Sunday, October 21st).
Crews were called to Brent Road at 9.38pm after reports of a fire at the back of a home.
“Two fire appliances from Burnham-On-Sea and one from Bridgwater attended reports of a fire at the rear of a property, possibly involving the property itself,” confirmed a spokesman.
“Crews arrived on scene and promptly requested a fourth appliance for assistance, which was mobilised from Cheddar.”
“Crews got to work with one hose reel jet and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. The fire was quickly knocked back and it appeared the fire was involving a gazebo that was spreading to the extension of the property.”
“Crews put the fire out and confirmed the cause as accidental.”
“The property was damaged by the fire but the fire was prevented from spreading.”
