Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescue horse from water-filled ditch

-

Two fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called out to rescue a horse stuck in a water-filled ditch on Monday evening (September 17th).

Firefighters rushed to Northwick Road in the village of Mark at 7.39pm where a member of the public had requested their help in retrieving the animal.

“Fire crews confirmed that the horse was in approximately two feet of water within a ditch. The vet sedated the horse for the fire crews to rescue the horse using strops and lines,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
