Burnham-On-Sea fire crews kept busy on Easter Sunday

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s fire crews were called out to deal with a fuel spill and a car blaze in the town on Easter Sunday (April 4th).

A fire engine was sent to Technical Street, as pictured, after a local resident reported a strong smell of fuel.

Crews investigated and checked that the area was safe after a vehicle spilt a quantity of fuel.

Earlier in the day, two Burnham-On-Sea fire engines were called to Berrow Road to tackle a car blaze.

“Crew extinguished a fire which burnt out a Peugeot parked opposite Treasure Court residential care home at mid-day,” a spokesman confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The blaze was brought under control using a hose reel jet.”
