Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called out to three separate incidents on Thursday (February 25th).
At 8.50am, an appliance from Burnham was called to Worthy Crescent in Lympsham to tackle a bin fire, caused by a discarded cigarette.
At 11.40am, Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater firefighters were called to Watchfield where a telehandler was well alight. Crews used a compressed air foam jet, one main jet and two breathing apparatus, to extinguish the blaze. The telehandler was completely damaged.
At 2.30pm, fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater responded to reports of two people trapped in a lift at a property in Oxford Street, Burnham. Crews used small tools to release them unharmed. Advice was given to the lift engineer and staff.
