Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to three separate incidents in the space of just a few hours on Tuesday (July 9th).
Crews were called to a van on fire on the southbound sliproad of the M5 motorway near Burnham’s junction 22.
An engine had overheated, sending smoke across the carriageway, and it was brought under control.
Firefighters were also called to a small fire at Westcroft Cider in Brent Knoll at around 12.45pm when a quantity of wood was reported to be alight.
Crews were also later called to Beatty Way in Burnham where a homeowner had accidentally locked herself out of her house while food was cooking in her kitchen. The alarm was raised and entry was gained without any damage.
