A chimney blaze led to a call-out for Burnham-On-Sea firefighters on Thursday evening (March 7th).
Crews were called to West Road in Lympsham at 7.48pm where a resident had raised the alarm.
“Crews had to remove a wood burner to gain access to the hearth then used a thermal imaging camera to check the chimney breast for hot spots,” a fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Chimney rods were also used with chimney gear to extinguish the fire and keep the damage to a minimum.
