A body found in the charred remains of a bungalow near Burnham-On-Sea one week ago has still not been identified due to the severity of the blaze.
Speaking to Burnham-On-Sea.com on Thursday (June 22nd), West Somerset Coroner Michael Rose said: “We’re having a great deal of difficulty in identifying the person.”
“The dental records are not readily available – we think the dentist may possibly be in the London area – and we may well have to perform a DNA test in order to finally resolve this.”
As we reported last Thursday, police and fire crews were at the scene of the tragic blaze in Brent Road (pictured above) for much of the day. Police have since confirmed they were are not treating the fire as suspicious.
