Two Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rushed to Highbridge on Friday evening (August 18th) after smoke was spotted coming out of a derelict shop in the centre of the town.
A small fire was reported in the yard at the rear of the former Millenium kebab shop in Church Street just after 7pm.
But a fire brigade spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com the incident had been “very minor”.
The site was recently sold to Propertylink and is expected to be developed into flats in the coming months.
