Bulls trapped after trailer trailer overturns in road accident near Burnham
A vehicle towing a trailer with three bulls onboard overturned during an accident on the A38 at Rooksbridge, near Burnham-On-Sea, on Monday January 16th.
The trailer contained three bulls – one of which escaped before the fire brigade arrived on scene to release them.
A fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea, plus a Special Rescue Unit from Bridgwater and two appliances from Avon Fire Service were called to the scene shortly after mid-day.
A brigade spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that the crews found both bulls were “extremely distressed” and to aid the rescue a vet was called to sedate them.
Both were released by the Brigade but, sadly, one died at the roadside suffering from stress and internal injuries.
