Trapped horse released from ditch by Burnham-On-Sea fire crew

A horse trapped in a water-filled ditch at Rooksbridge, near Burnham-On-Sea, was released by fire crews on Sunday morning (February 12th).

A fire appliance from Burnham-On-Sea together with specialist appliances from Bridgwater, Taunton and Wiveliscombe attended the scene on the A38.

The horse had become trapped in a deep ditch running alongside the road at around 10.30am.

The fire service was called, along with a vet, and the animal was released unharmed at mid-day.
