Trapped cow freed by fire crews after getting stuck in mud at Brean

-

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea helped to rescue a trapped cow at Brean on Wednesday morning, (June 7th).

Fire crews from Burnham, Bridgwater and Taunton, plus an animal rescue unit from Bridgwater and a command support unit from Street, were called to Diamond Farm to help release the animal from a patch of mud.

The cow had become stuck shortly after 10.30am and was eventually released unharmed using lines and mud paths.

Diamond Farm’s Barry Rowsell told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It took almost 90 minutes to free the animal – he was well and truly stuck.”
