Three fire crews tackle big barn blaze at Brean

Three fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Glastonbury tackled a big blaze at Brean in the early hours of Wednesday February 1st.

The fire at a barn in Warren Road, Brean broke out shortly after 6.15am, when the building was reported to be “well alight”.

Three fire engines attended the scene – including two from Burnham and one from Cheddar – as well as a command support unit from Street.

The crews tackled the blaze with two hose reel jets and dragforks.

A fire service spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The barn was completely destroyed by the blaze, along with 110 bales of straw that had been inside.”
