Two young film buffs from Burnham-On-Sea are set to travel to London next week to take part in a prestigious film ceremony in London.
Tommy Harkness, 11, and Molly Harding, 14, have both nominated for Young Film Critic of the Year and will be attending the event at BAFTA in Piccadily on Tuesday (19th October).
The duo, who both attend Highbridge’s King Alfred School, were amazed to be selected, and were even more stunned to find they both live in the same Burnham street, Bathurst Close!
“Considering that this is a UK-wide competition, even for two of the 16 nominees to come from the same town is amazing, but to be from the same street is unbelievable,” Tommy’s father, Matt Harkness, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Tommy won his nomination by writing a review about the hit film Fantastic Mr Fox while Molly penned a review of Whippet.
The annual event is organised by a charity called Film Education as part of National Schools Film Week.
