Burnham-On-Sea teenager killed in crash horror

A 17-year-old from Burnham-On-Sea has been killed in an horrific crash near Bristol.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the accident in the Long Ashton area on Tuesday night (November 20th).

They were called to the incident at 6.18pm on the B3128 at its junction with Providence Lane.

“A Peugeot travelling in the direction of Longwood Lane towards Providence Lane was in collision with a Land Rover at the crossroads. The Land Rover was travelling along the B3128 at Long Ashton towards Clevedon,” said police spokesman Dan Mountain.

“The 17-year-old passenger in the Peugeot, who is from the Burnham-on-Sea area, was pronounced dead at the scene.”

“A 10-year-old boy who was rear seat passenger in the Peugeot – and is not related to the dead man – was seriously injured and taken to Frenchay Hospital.”

The woman driver of the Peugeot was taken to the BRI, although her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two people, who were travelling in the Range Rover, were also taken to the BRI with minor injuries.

The police’s Road Policing Unit has issued an appeal for witnesses to the incident and Anyone with information is asked to contact the RPU’s collision investigation unit on 0845 4567000.

The name of the Burnham teenager has not yet been released.
