Dozens of bargain-hunters filled King Alfred School’s main hall in Highbridge on Tuesday evening (February 3rd) when a fundraising fashion show and sale was held.
Almost 200 ladies flocked to the event, which was organised by Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club and the Inner Wheel Club, with proceeds going to local charities.
“It’s the second time we’ve held a show like this and it’s again been very successful,” Rotary spokesman Hugh Mackay told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The ladies were able to buy high street clothes from well-known brands such as M&S, Next, Wallis and BHS at low prices while enjoying a relaxed glass of wine.”
It’s expected that around £1,000 has been raised for local good causes by the event.
