Burnham-On-Sea farmers markets to continue over winter months

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Farmers Markets are to continue during January, February and March, it was announced this week.

The popular markets – which are held in the High Street – were due to take a winter break until April 2007.

However, organisers said after Friday’s latest event that there is now enough support from traders and customers to keep them going during the traditionally quiet winter period.

Organiser Liz Scott told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve had such a strong backing that we’re continuing the markets on the last Friday of every month – these will be on January 26th, February 23rd and March 30th. Thanks go to everyone for making these a success.”

Selling a range of fresh farm produce and locally-made crafts, the markets take place between 9am and 1pm in the centre of the town.
