Burnham-On-Sea businesses and shoppers have this week been urged to be on their guard against counterfeit bank notes.
Several forged £10 notes have been received by businesses in the town centre in recent days, including two High Street shops, a take-away food shop and a petrol station.
One staff member told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The notes are very good fakes – they look very similar to normal notes, but they are slightly smaller. People need to look out for them – several business have been targeted.”
