Business students from Highbridge’s King Alfred School have attended a prestigious regional conference in Exeter.
The group of Year 12 students attended the Economics and Business Conference at Exeter University Business School.
“Lectures were given by leading academics and each lecture challenged the students to consider causes and solutions to some of the ‘big picture issues’ facing economists and businesses around the world today,” said the school’s Simon Aylward.
“Topics included inequality, why competition matters, innovation, behavioural economics, climate change and how to tax multi-national companies such as Google, Amazon and Starbucks.”
