Burnham-On-Sea firefighters were called to a car reportedly on fire at a petrol station in the town on Sunday afternoon (February 23rd).
A Burnham fire crew rushed to the Esso station in Oxford Street just after 2.20pm.
A fire spokesman said: “The fire service received a call reporting a car on fire and crews confirmed a small electrical fire within the engine compartment of a car.”
“The fire was out on the arrival of crews, who inspected the vehicle to ensure it was safe.”
It was confirmed that the cause of the fire was accidental.
