Vehicles and teams from each service will be on hand during the day and life-saving demonstrations will take place in the sea, air and on the beach, giving spectators a unique chance to see the work up-close.
Sunday’s event is scheduled to start at 10am with an official opening by the town’s Mayor, Derick Cooper. This will be followed by a mud rescue exercise at 10.45am involving Burnham’s hovercrafts and Coastguards.
There will be be a fly-by of microlights at 2pm, a police dog demonstration on the beach at 2.30pm, and Burnham’s lifeboats will be in action at 3pm.
BARB, the charity that operates Burnham’s rescue hovercrafts, has organised the popular event since it started in 2004.
Event organiser Roger Flower said: “This year’s event will be even bigger than previous years – we have many more rescue services involved and there will be many exciting demonstrations to watch.”
“It will be a great opportunity to see our local emergency services at work and support them.”
