A new 10km running race is set to be held at Brean Down by Burnham-On-Sea Harriers running club.
New in 2025, the Brean Banger is a 10km multi terrain race that incorporates Brean Down, the England Coast path and Brean Beach.
Entries are now open for the scenic event on 18th June, which starts at 7.15pm – click here for the online race entry form.
“A moderately hilly circular running route, mostly off-road, it is approximately 10.5km long. There will be a mass start on Brean Beach before participants head one mile along the beach, crossing through the Warren Farm campsite, before heading onto the King Charles III seasonal coastal path.”
“A narrow path up the back of Brean Down leads the runners on a loop of the down – passing the trig point, fort and along the military road – with a downhill finish outside the cafe.”
Burnham Harriers also organise the Burnham-On-Sea half marathon which will be held in 2025 on Sunday 14th September, and the Brent Knoll Race on Sunday 23 November 2025.
