A Burnham hair and beauty salon is showing its support for the local blue light services by offering a discount to all crew members starting from today (Friday 7th August).
Store Owner Neil Brewer of Enhance Hair and Beauty on Burnham-On-Sea High Street says he wants to help after seeing crew members going off to a recent incident.
“The busy second role that so many volunteers lead was brought home to us when a client left mid-haircut to respond to a pager call – she rebooked for the following day, but was unable to attend because of another call-out,” says Neil.
“There wasn’t a doubt in the client’s mind about whether to leave or not, and when we thought that they are on call 24/7 we thought we could do something to show our support.”
“Supporting our local blue light crews with this discount is our way of showing that we value the contribution that they make to keeping our coast and town safe.”
Co-owner Susan Fitzgibbon added: “We have been really impressed by the way the local services work together and we are looking forward to seeing so many of them demonstrate their skills this Sunday at the Rescue Services Day on The Esplanade.”
The 10% discount is available on all services to male and female crew members of HM Coastguard, BARB, RNLI, the Ambulance, Fire and Police Services who work in Burnham. Contact Enhance on 01278 789152 for details.
