Edithmead Flower Festival bursts into bloom with 1918 wartime theme

-

Dozens of colourful blooms are filling a tiny church on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea this weekend.

Edithmead Church is holding its popular annual flower festival, with the theme of Poems and Songs from 1918, on Saturday and Sunday (July 14th and 15th).

The tiny church is open to the public 11am-5pm with a Songs of Praise Sunday evening service at 7pm.

“Everyone is very welcome to come along and see the floral arrangements,” said a spokesperson.

Teas and cakes will also be sold, raising cash for the upkeep of the tiny church, which is one of the smallest in the country.
