Burnham-On-Sea enjoyed its hottest day of 2019 so far on Easter Sunday, as the sunshine brought crowds of visitors to the town.
Temperatures peaked at 24.3°C (75.7°F) at 4.30pm and the superb Easter weather created busy beach scenes and gave local tourism businesses a boost in trade.
On Bank Holiday Monday, there were similar scenes with temperatures reaching 23.8°C (74.8°F).
The sea was busy with paddlers enjoying a cooling dip until a stunning sunset just after 8.15pm on Easter Sunday, pictured here.
A Burnham Chamber of Trade spokesman said that the good weekend of weather had “provided a welcome boost to local trade at the start of the holiday season for tourism-related businesses including holiday parks, eating places and some shops. Long may it continue!”
The Burnham-On-Sea Weather forecast predicts further warm weather for Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday before cooler conditions arrive on Wednesday.
