Meeting to be held over plans for 40 new homes at East Huntspill

-

A meeting is to be held for residents to air their view about plans for a major new development of 40 homes in East Huntspill.

As Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported here, the developer Core Strategic Land is seeking outline planning permission to build the 40 new properties on land at New Road in East Huntspill, pictured here.

The Parish Council has set up a meeting for Monday evening 22nd January commencing at 7pm at Church Hall ib Church Lane, East Huntspill for residents to air their views.

If the development is approved, it will see six 2-bedroom homes, ten 3-bed homes, eight 4-bed houses being built.

There would also be 16 social rented housing units to include two flats, two 1-bed houses, five 2-bed houses and seven 3-bed houses.

The proposals for the 2.25 hectare sized site also include on-site parking for 101 cars to address concerns about a lack of parking in the village.

Residents will need to register in advance to have three minutes of speaking time at Monday’s meeting.

Sedgemoor District Council is welcoming feedback on the plans (Planning Application Number: 25/17/00053) until February 2nd, 2018.
