East Brent CofE Academy pupils and staff celebrate positive inspection report

-

East Brent CofE Academy pupils and staff are celebrating a positive inspection report.

The report from SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) has highlighted the school’s strengths.

Katie Whiting, Headteacher of East Brent CofE Academy, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It brings me great pleasure to share our recently published SIAMS inspection report, a true testament to the magnificent culture that is woven throughout our school.”

“I am so incredibly proud of the achievements of our whole school community and thrilled the inspector recognised and acknowledged the amazing work that is part of our school Christian distinctiveness.”

She adds: “Children at our school receive an education that is deeply rooted in nurture and enrichment and through our teaching of six Christian values, we create an environment that ensures our learners are valued and celebrated.”

Inspectors visiting the school noted particular strengths within its vision and values.

The inspection report states: “Nurture is at the heart of the vision and the work of East Brent Church of England Academy. It is central to the success of this school as a Church school and is lived out through the 6 ‘pearl’ values. This ensures that pupils are valued, including those that are deemed to be vulnerable or disadvantaged.”

“The vision is known, understood and lived out across the school. It shapes both strategy and action so the school community is respectful, aspirational and peaceful.”

“Collective worship is joyful and carefully planned to reflect the school’s Christian vision and values. This supports the spiritual nourishment of individuals and inspires pupils to reflect on how they live their lives together.”

“Pupils’ spiritual development is enhanced through the invitational prayer life of this school. Enrichment through the wider curriculum opportunities, including visits and visitors, helps to deepen pupils’ love of learning throughout the school.”

Preschool open mornings for the brand new Preschool are coming soon on April 24th and 27th 2025.  For further information and a link to find our more about our School and Preschool, visit: https://eastbrentcofeacademy.co.uk/
