Over 140 motorcyclists joined a fundraising bike run on Sunday (September 1st) in memory of Dylan Cecil, the four year-old boy who died after slipping into the sea from Burnham’s jetty.
Scores of mopeds, motorbikes and three wheelers gathered in Burnham’s Pier Street Car Park where the bike run started.
The riders then departed in convoy to Cheddar as part of a 50-mile round journey to raise cash for the four charities involved in the search for Dylan – the Coastguard Association, BARB, RNLI and Sarbot.
“The bike run was a great success and the final amount will top the £1,000 mark,” one of the organisers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We had 140 bikes on the day and also took lots of money through donations and raffles.”
“Many thanks goes to everyone who supported the event.”
