First shown to a packed house at Burnham’s Princess Theatre in September, Theatre Mélange’s colourful film ‘Echo Burnham, Portrait of a Coastal Town’ is now available.
It will be on sale, priced £8.99, on Tuesday (December 17th) at The Princess Theatre in Burnham and then on Friday morning (December 20th) at Burnham’s Farmers Market in the The High Street.
Artistic Director Sandy Maberley says: “The film is a vivid portrait of the town as seen through the eyes of the people who live and work there. Featuring real-life stories interwoven with the distinctive sights and sounds of the place and accompanied by a compelling soundtrack.”
Those featured included Burnham BMX Club, Marine Cove, the Community Centre, BARB and the RNLI, Highbridge and Burnham Artists, Burnham Food Festival and many other residents. Further details are available by email at info@theatremelange.com
Burnham was the third seaside town for the Echo project, which has previously produced films about Minehead and Watchet. The project was supported with financial investment from Arts Council England, the National Lottery, Somerset County Council and the European Union.
