Drugs seized from attic of Burnham-On-Sea town centre home

-

Investigations are continuing after police officers seized a quantity of cannabis from a house in Oxford Street on Thursday morning (August 27th).

News of the raid broke first on Burnham-On-Sea.com’s discussion forums when passers-by spotted police at the junction with Jaycroft Road, as pictured here.

Force spokesman Simon Whitby confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A warrant was executed at 10am at a house in Oxford Street and a quantity of suspected cannabis was seized a short time later from the attic. It is believed electricity was being abstracted to help the cultivation.”

He added: “The property was empty and therefore no arrests were made, although our investigations are continuing.”
