Police swooped on a Burnham-On-Sea home as they carried out a drugs raid on Friday morning (September 7th).
A team of officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a home in Rosewood Close shortly after 8am, as pictured here.
A 43 year-old man was arrested and a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis was seized with an estimated street value of over £2,000.
The man was later released on bail pending analysis of the drugs and further police enquiries.
The raid came after concerns were raised in the local community about drug dealing in the area.
The officer dealing with the case, PC Ian Bartlett, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I would like to thank the community for having the trust and confidence to report drug dealing.”
“We will always take positive action to deal with those that are a blight to our neighbourhoods and will continue to target any offender that causes distress to local residents.”
