A shocked resident in Burnham-On-Sea was stunned to find this bag of drugs discarded on a busy town centre pavement at the weekend.
The discovery of the bag of cannabis was made by a woman walking home along Abingdon Street on Sunday evening (July 12th).
She alerted staff at a nearby restaurant, who in turn contacted Burnham police.
PSCO Gill Bawler told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The lady did the right thing in getting the police to come and safely take it away as soon as possible.”
“Incidents like this are fortunately very rare, but we would always encourage people to get in touch without fear of any follow-on action.”
