Burnham Police take drink drive campaign to holidaymakers
Burnham-On-Sea Police held a thought-provoking display in Brean at the weekend to promote their drink driving campaign.
The damaged remains of a car following a serious drink drive accident went on show outside Pontins and officers handed out leaflets to promote responsible driving.
Holidaymakers were also invited to wear a pair of goggles that alter the person’s vision to simulate being drunk, as pictured below, before atempting to try a number of walking challenges.
PCSO Tracey Grobbeler told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a huge hit and generated a great deal of interest with the public who were shocked to find they were unable to walk in straight lines whilst wearing the beer goggles.”
