Driftwood washed up after high tides on Brean beach can be taken away

-

After recent high tides Brean beach has quite a collection of driftwood says the village’s Beach Manager Alan Noble.
“This could be ideal for use in wood burning stoves this winter,” says Alan, who added that “visitors to the beach are welcome to collect it and take it away. We hate to see it going to waste.”
“Chainsaws are allowed if used carefully away from other beach occupants and their noise must not create a nuisance to residents.”
Wood collection is not permitted on the area of the beach adjacent to the National Trust property.
