The outdoor sports court at Burnham-On-Sea’s youth centre is to be refurbished during April by members of the town’s Dreamscheme.
The youngsters will be giving the facilities an overhaul during the group’s prorgramme of Easter holiday events.
“We will be refurbishing the football court during a morning of activity on Wednesday 16th April. We’ll be repairing and repainting the wooden fence that runs around the inside of the court and picking up litter in and around it,” said the group’s Jonathan Smith.
He added that several Dreamscheme logos will be painted around the court “to cheer it up a bit”. All youngsters are welcome, and are advised to wear old clothes.
The event will be held from 10am-1pm with lunch provided. If it’s wet there will be alternative activities inside the Bay Centre in Cassis Close.
Those who get involved will qualify for a Dreamscheme reward on Thursday 17th April when a visit to Burnham’s Ritz Cinema to see the film Rio2 is planned.
