BBC Dragons Den contestant to visit garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea

-

A former contestant from the BBC’s Dragons Den TV series will be visiting a garden centre near Burnham-On-Sea this Sunday (October 12th) to host a series of tasting sessions.

Michael North, who pitched his business idea, The Seasonally Fresh Olive Oil Club, to the ‘Dragons’ earlier this year, will be attending an event at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll.

Peter Burks, General Manager at Sanders Garden World, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are hosting our free Apple, Cider and Forgotten Fruits Weekend on October 11th and 12th to celebrate Somerset and British apples, as well as to introduce visitors to some often forgotten fruits, for example the olive.”

“Michael, an international judge and taster of fresh, seasonal olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Frome, will be in-store on Sunday to speak to customers about his work and offer people the chance to take part in tutored tastings. He will be sharing his experience of facing the ‘Dragons’ on BBC TV too.”

During the event, which links in with the UK’s annual Common Ground Apple Day on October 21, there will also be other taste and test sessions with cider and apple products. Representatives from Rich’s Farmhouse Cider, based in Watchfield, will be on hand.
