A small budget adventure film that has been partially filmed in Burnham-On-Sea has caught the attention of the BBC.
The film – called ‘Don’t. Stop. Running’ – is a micro-budget action adventure movie produced locally that features several familiar scenes including Burnham’s beach.
The film’s director and writer, Alexander Richardson, said: “This film is classic popcorn entertainment. It’s an action thriller about two estranged brothers – thrown together for a treasure hunt – who soon find that they are the ones being hunted. As they race across a wilderness they realise that if they want to survive they’ll have to work together.”
“It has been written from the outset as a crowd pleaser, and has been gaining attention in high-profile circles.”
“Most recently, the BBC has seen the potential of the script and are considering it for development, having shortlisted it through their prestigious Writer’s Room scheme.”
“To reach this stage, the film has reached the final 1%, from around 3,000 scripts submitted.”
