A new shop that lets children design their own teddy bears is set to open in Burnham-On-Sea town centre.
‘Design A Ted’ will be opening in a vacant premises at 44 the High Street, near the junction with Cross Street.
Owner Wayne Nation told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We wanted to bring a fun, unique new business to Burnham – and offer something that attracts holidaymakers and residents.”
He explained that the business will enable children to design and create their own bear in the shop, then decorate it in their own individual style.
Work is underway to regfurbish the interior of the premises ahead of the shop’s grand opening during March.
He added: “I have been a retail manager for several years at a big national chain, so I’m looking forward to running my own business.”
