A Burnham-On-Sea shop that lets children design their own teddy bears is set to close down this weekend.
Design A Ted at 44 The High Street is shutting, six months after opening in March this year, as featured here.
Owner Wayne Nation told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Sadly we just aren’t getting enough trade to pay the bills and we have made the difficult decision to close down this Saturday.”
“I’m gutted that we haven’t been able to make a go of it – I’d hoped to be here for years to come.”
“We tried to bring something different to Burnham’s town centre and hoped it would add to the mix of shops here.”
“But while the summer holidays were busy, since then trade has gone downhill.”
“I have something else lined up to do, and given that we had a short lease period, now is the right time to close.”
“I do thank all those customers who supported us over the last six months – we will miss them.”
