Wildlife carers near Burnham-On-Sea are looking after these two cute young deer this week.
The pair of fallow fawns has arrived at Secret World in East Huntspill.
“One was found in Dorset, incredibly thin and dehydrated, and the other came from West Sussex and had a blocked urethra which meant his bladder had to be flushed, but both are now thriving,” said the charity this week.
“The slightly older ones are being fed three times a day and the younger ones four times a day.”
“Whilst they are still being bottle-fed they are now also starting to eat a variety of leaves and plants that they will find in the wild.”
“These youngsters will be with us for another couple of months while they are weaned and grow big enough to go to their release sites.”
“Before the deer can be completely given their freedom they will be put in an enclosure in the area they will be released to get used to their surroundings.”
“When we are totally happy that they can survive on their own and they do not need us to give them extra food they will released.”
