A Highbridge woman was jailed for 18 months on Friday (October 1st) for perverting the course of justice during the investigation into the murder of Burnham-On-Sea man George Lawson.
Debbi Huxtable, 28, from Southwell Crescent, was sentenced by a judge at Exeter Crown Court after pleading guilty to the charge earlier in the summer.
Huxtable, pictured, was the former girlfriend of Adam Lapthorne, who was sentenced to a life behind bars earlier this year.
He was found guilty of murdering Mr Lawson in an Abingdon Street flat in Burnham-On-Sea on Christmas Eve in 2009.
A police officer found the body of Mr Lawson lying on a bed in the flat above the Second Stage tattoo shop shortly after 9am on Christmas Eve.
Adam Lapthorne pleaded guilty to murder on 11th June 2010 and was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum tariff of 13 years, as reported here by Burnham-On-Sea.com.
