Burnham-On-Sea’s fundraiser plans 50km walk for children’s charity

-

A Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser is set to stride out for charity when he takes part in a sponsored walk.

David Stacey, a Burnham foster career, is in training to complete an ‘Ultra Challenge’ of walking 50km in a day, from Bath to Wotton under Edge on 30th June.

David says he’s taking part in aid of the NSPCC to raise awareness of the work of the children’s charity.

“I am walking this for the NSPCC to raise money for them to help them continue their great work in giving all children a voice and help their work in putting a stop to chid abuse,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Last year I did a five-peak challenge along with people from Somerset County Council to raise money for looked after children.”

“I have been training since September 2017 and walk most weekends from 6 to 25 miles mainly from Burnham to Weston via Brean Down Fort or to Brent Knoll and back.”
