A Burnham-On-Sea dance studio is lining up a busy summer of activities for youngsters in the town.
DanceFit in Love Lane is organising activities and workshops for all ages over the school holidays – and is inviting parents to get their children signed up.
Each Friday, from 11am-12 pm, the dance studio will be holding ‘Stay and Play’ sessions where children will be able to enjoy tunnels, balls, hoops and more, finishing with song time. It will start on July 26th with no group on August 16th.
On Fridays from 1.20pm-2.20pm, the ‘Tiny Signers’ group will see puppets, songs and stories coming together for a fun-filled class using sign language to encourage children to communicate even before they can speak! Cost is £3.50 PAYG.
From 29th-31st July there will also be a ‘Mini Performers Workshop’ for children aged 3-7 years who love to sing, dance and act! The sessions will include arts and crafts and a performance! There is a cost of £25, with pre-booking necessary and a 10% discount for those who sign up before July 1st.
The studio is also planning a ‘Build A Show In A Week’ session from Monday 12th – Friday 16th August aimed at children aged 6-12 years who love to perform. Youngsters will be invited to discover what it takes to put together a show in a week – it includes a performance at The Princess Theatre. Pre-booking is required and participation is £55 (or £50 if booked before July 1st.)
The summer of fun will continue on Saturday August 3rd when the studio holds its summer ball. It will be followed on Saturday 27th July by a Table Top Sale with free entry. The events will be rounded off on August 21st by a Fairies and Pirate’s day.
