Members of a Burnham-On-Sea dance school took part in a world record attempt for the most tappers tapping at the same time across the UK on Sunday (November 17th).
30 people from Burnham’s DanceFit, ranging in age from 7 to 60+, took part in the national Tapathon to raise money for BBC’s Children In Need.
“We tapped to Candy by Robbie Williams and as well as raising money for Children In Need we are hoping to have broken the world record for the most tappers tapping at the same time in multiple venues across the UK,” DanceFit’s Victoria Roberts told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“We have not heard yet whether or not we have broken the world record but on the day we raised about 250 through entry fees, sponsor money and also selling cakes and refreshments which we were all really pleased with!”
Thousands of people across the UK joined in the third annual Tapathon and they will hear soon whether a new world record was set.
