Two Burnham-On-Sea dance groups are set to perform an action-packed show in the town’s Princess Theatre later this month.
Dancefit and The Bay Centre Dancers are currently rehearsing for the event, called Dance School Musical, which will be held on Saturday 27th March at 2.30pm.
“The audience will be treated to an exciting visual feast of dance numbers from Disney, West End Musicals and current pop music using a variety of dance styles including tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
In addition, dance teachers Victoria Roberts and Emma Duffill will collaborate to produce and perform two new pieces of choreography using Charleston and contemporary dance styles.
Tickets are now on sale for the show and further details are available by calling 0845 0944 565.
The BAY Club Dancers have been running classes since 2002 for children aged 6-8 and 9-11 years old. This year, the group has begun a new younger group for 3-5 year olds. Classes are run on Wednesday evenings from 4-7pm.
DanceFit provides dance and fitness classes for children and adults in and around the Burnham area with the emphasis being on fun and enjoyment. It is run by Victoria Roberts, a qualified teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
