A group of 70 cyclists descended on Burnham-On-Sea’s Esplanade on Saturday morning (March 10th) when they stopped in the town during a 40-mile round training trip.
The Somerset Road Club group frequently visits Burnham during the summer months as part of their training.
“Today, we met up at Creech Castle at 8.30am before cycling to Burnham along the A38. Our average speed is about 15 to 20mph, so we usually return to Taunton by 11am,” said spokesman Ray Pollard. “It’s a social trip, rather than a competitive one.”
