Curtain Call theatrical group rehearses Burnham-On-Sea summer show

Members of Burnham-On-Sea theatrical group Curtain Call are this week making final preparations for their annual charity production of ‘An Evening of Song and Dance’, which is to be held at the Princess on July 29th.

“This year the show is in aid of local charity Secret World,” says Principal Patricia Ham.

“I’ve always admired the work they do and it’s been wonderful supporting Pauline Kidner and all the staff at the East Huntspill wildlife centre.”

The charity extravaganza will be an evening filled with memorable songs and dances, all with an animal theme or link.

“We’ve got some obvious numbers, such as ‘Ugly Bug Ball’ and ‘Bright Eyes’, mixed in with some less obvious choices such as hits by The Eagles and Seal, so there is something to suit all musical tastes!”

The official sponsors of the show are R. Millard and Son of Springfield Road, Highbridge.

“Their support has been fantastic,” says Patricia. “I’m also overwhelmed by the support of local traders who have again offered raffle prizes, Material Needs and Kyffins to name but a few.”

Curtain up will be 7.30pm and tickets are available from the Secret World charity shop, G. C Music or at the door on the night.
