-

Pupils from Burnham-On-Sea headed to Taunton on Sunday (July 2nd) to watch a very special cricket game.

St Andrew’s School students attended a Women’s World Cup match between England and Sri Lanka at Taunton’s County Ground.

Jim Gillard at St Andrew’s Junior School told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “As well as an England win and a sunny day, the children had the opportunity to watch some great cricket, try some of the interactive activities and collect some autographs.”

“The trip was arranged in conjunction with Brent Knoll School and was enjoyed by all the children who attended.”

England secured their second win of the Women’s World Cup with a seven-wicket victory over Sri Lanka.
