Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor and Mayoress were the special guests at a fundraising cream tea in the town on Sunday afternoon (August 22nd).
Michael and Maria Clarke were among 60 invited people who attended the ‘Royal Garden Party’ at Burnham Nursing and Residential Centre in Oxford Street, held in aid of the Royal British Legion.
Organisers Dawn Badman and Cherry Cooke told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a great success. “We had a very good turnout of visitors, who enjoyed a wide selection of cakes and teas served in our gardens. The weather stayed dry for the whole afternoon,” said Cherry.
The event also celebrated Burnham Nursing Home’s community month.
