A motorist was taken to hospital following an early morning crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday morning (November 30th).
Fire, ambulance and police crews were called to the Old Pawlett Road in West Huntspill at 3.50am after a car, pictured, left the road and ended up in a ditch.
Three fire appliances from Burnham and Taunton rushed to the scene and a man was cut free.
A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Crews confirmed one vehicle was in a dry ditch on arrival with one person still within the vehicle but not physically trapped.”
“Crews set about removing the roof using hydraulic road rescue equipment to release the casualty.”
The man, who suffered suspected back injuries, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
