One person was hurt after a crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday (September 10th).
Crews were called to Chapel Road in Rooksbridge at 3pm where a car had left the road and gone into a ditch, leaving one person trapped.
One fire appliance from Burnham and another from Cheddar attended the scene, where crews found the car had slid into a dry ditch with one person still inside.
Crews helped the paramedics in lifting the casualty clear of the vehicle. The scene and vehicle were made safe.
In a separate incident earlier in the day, at 10.15am, crews were called to a home in Rosewood Avenue where there was a strong smell of burning. They found this was caused by damage to the wiring of a washing machine which was isolated and removed to the outside of the property.
